Dear colleagues,
MPI Day is set for 26 August 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
We want to showcase what’s happening here. Pitch your research or services to colleagues from other groups and service units, show your labs, tools, and workflows, and make new connections. Every group —including service groups—is invited to introduce itself creatively, either with posters, ad-hoc presentations, lab tours*, mini-workshops* ... or simply by talking.

@Everbody
- Be part of your group's contribution - whether it’s a research or service group!
- Register below -- as this makes catering planning much easier!
- Target: at least 100 registered participants by 31 July!
@Research Groups and Service Groups
- Have a look at your poster in the corridors to see if you need to update anything.
- Ideally create an overview of you group's activities (Website, Pdf or even a video).
- *You may include a lab tour or mini-workshop as part of your presentation. If either is limited to a small group, please plan to run it several times and schedule these sessions accordingly.
- Send the overview (including locations...use the magistrale as "communication hub" for poster presenations) to MPI-Day-2026 Orga Team <MPIDay2026@mpi-magdeburg.mpg.de> until 7 August 2026
The Organizing team will take care of
- Setting-up tables, poster walls etc. (w/ help of facility management)
- Group photo (w/ help of public relations)
- A balanced programm --> you will receive confirmation of whether your group's presentation will be in the first or second block.
Best regards
Peter Benner (managing director) and the organizing team (Martin K., Sophia, Janine H. and Kai-Friederike)
